| It's too late for Irene but when we get the next coastal storm here's what we do... Get right out there as soon as the weather clears & wet things down (if already dried). Then, mix up some Simple Green in one of those large sprayer tanks. Spray the Simple Green everywhere you can reach (including lawn). Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then, rinse the Simple Green off with the hose. It's the same concept we use to clean our boat & have found if you get at it soon enough it really helps with plants as well. We live right on Mystic Cove in Mystic, CT. We got it good with Irene. Just got power back last night. Good luck with your landscaping. /tricia |
