Recommendation for shady fence

I am in East Hampton New York. I have a long fence that is in full shade and gets pleanty of water. The soil is rich.

I want a vine that will cover the fence. I would like something that would cover it year round - however I would also like some color. Possibly a mix of two vines may work. Does a vine exist that flowers in shade? Any suggestions?

Jim

HI Jim, I think if you post this on the "vine" forum you will get several responses. This forum seems to not get much traffic.

I'm fairly new to vines, so am not sure what you could use, but someone on the vines forum could help you I'm sure.

Climbing Hydrangea (Hydrangea anomala petiolaris),Winter Creeper (Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus) or Vinca (Myrtle)will take partial sun to full shade and could be good candidates for your fence.
