Money Plant????

Hi, I use to come here often, a few years ago under the name Cosmos6MA but I forgot my password etc. Anyway....
My neighbor found this plant and I know I have seen it before when buying dried flowers. We can't find the name for it or info on how to grow it. She said money plant and I just now thought perhaps a dollar plant or coin?
I'm betting that it grows in early spring/summer and that the "pod shells" burst open, scattering the seed, therefore self seeding itself and it needs the cold of winter in order to germinate.
The reason I have that thought is because I saw one growing in a yard of an apartment I once lived in and it looked pretty much like this when my DH or one of my dear sons, chopped it to pieces when mowing the lawn during the latter part of summer.
So...can anyone tell me about this plant???

| I also have a great deal of what we call "money plant" it gives off purple blooms in mid spring here, and the you can see the green "coins" growing...They will eventually change to look like your pic...I find them very easy to grow, as they self seed..and they look beautiful dried, if they dont crack! |

| I have these plants...love them for drying and decorating in the Fall. The flowers are very pretty in the early Spring. Easy to grow and multiply. I love Foregetmenots too... |
