Lily of the valley

I have a large patch of wild lily of the valley that has always done well. This year for the first time ,when it was though blooming,it produced LOTS orange balls on each stem. Are these future plants? Up til now, it has spread by under ground runners. Anyone have this experience? This is a matter of curiousity. Vee

i get those also, but I don't know what they are. I would assume some type of seed production going on.

Those are the seeds and they are poisonous. So if you have small children, be sure to pick and dispose of them before they lure him/her. They are very "candy" looking.
