When to plant

Posted by cpayne68 MD (My Page) on

I'm getting ready to go and look at plants/shrubs, etc. to plant on a hill in the front of my house. Is it too late to plant? What do I need to look out for, etc..

I live in Kensington, MD (about 10 miles from Washington, DC).

Tina...fall is a good time to plant lots of things, many perennials, shrubs, trees, etc.. Ask at the nurseries you visit, for things you can plant now, and ask about what to plan to plant in the spring.

RE: When to plant

I find anytime October and November good for planting bulbs. Maybe all that rain loosened the soil, heh heh.
