Planting in RI now?

Hello,

I was wondering if it would be ok (since the weathers been so warm here) to plant a pine in our southern RI soil. Since they are available now balled for Christmas trees.

Thanx

RE: Planting in RI now?

I called our local nursery who carried the balled and burlapped pines for x'mas trees and he said no but they would have a bigger variety come March and we wanted a bigger tree, so we'll wait.
