Tower Hill Botanic Garden - August 2012

When I was walking thru the parking lot to the main entrance, there was a sign talking about the "weeds" growing in the parking lot islands. The sign explained that when the property was originally purchased, the area where the parking lot sits was a field/meadow. As such, they decided to allow the parking lot islands remain field/meadow. As result, there is lots of "wildlife" in the parking lot.

August seemed to be all about the vegetable garden. The garden was full of wonderful colors and textures.

Hot Peppers

But it soon became very obvious to me that this vegetable garden was designed for show only. I started wondering how one would access the plants to actually harvest the veggies! There is no way to access these tomatoes!
