Springfield area Gardeners?

Looking for gardeners in my area to compare notes and tips with. Also like to know if any area gardeners are turning thier front yards into gardens (vegatable) and if so are they encountering any problems with neighbors/ municipalities. Also anyone know where or who to call to get leaf compost from the city? I posted in the vegatable garden forum and was suggest I post here.

You could the DPW and ask about the compost...not sure they do it anymore!

Frank ours still does for a price, at least up til last year they did. I will have to find out if they do this year.
