Now that we've had a few nice days I've been able to access the winter damage. And, it's bad. This is a photo of my dry riverbed, faces west however it's protected by the house and a fence. My poor weeping hemlock has a ton of brown needles. What is the best way to aid recovery? This is a mixed border (2 years old), seems one of the green giants and this hemlock are the major casualties. In the fall I planted a row of green giants on the east side and they are really fried. Any suggestions?
