I'll share my experiences here with you, but I can't make a specific recommendation simply because I really haven't liked any lawncare provider!

I have used about 5 different lawn services over the last 10 years. Large companies that have lots of clients (including commercial) and are less expensive, run crews of illegal aliens who speak no English. If you want anything non-standard (like mow high, leave on the clippings, don't use Scotts, don't use blowers), you won't be able to communicate with the crew. If you leave a message on their office answering machine, the message goes into a black hole. If you use a small, expensive firm, you will be able to communicate, but it will cost you! And ...ultimately... they will forget any non-standard requests you make and you'll find yourselves back on your conventional lawncare routine -- but paying twice as much!

My final conclusion: I am keeping my small company lawn guys because they do reliable snow removal in winter. I will chase them weekly this summer to remind them to mow high, leave clippings, not apply chemicals and not blow my compost and mulch off my beds (again) with their *x)# blowers. I still wish for a better solution.

If you are going to try it, just note the trucks you see in your neighborhood and call those companies. Get a quote with specific services in writing.
