Wow thanks for sharing it was a really informative article. This is yet another non native insect invader for the poor blueberry. Their site is a great resource for New England fruit growers. On their home page they even posted the following;

With many areas experiencing warmer than usual weather, people are excited to start planting. We suggest you think carefully before starting too soon. Below are some guidelines:

Plants will establish best if soil temperatures are 50 degrees or higher and remain there.

Plants may fail to grow if they are planted and soil conditions remain cold and wet after planting.

If temperatures fall to 20 degrees or lower, the plants won't survive.

We recommend you have your plants shipped 2-3 weeks after our earliest zone date recommendations, so that soil will be warmer and drier.

which I thought was great general advice.
