Even so cold weather crops like Kale, Spinach and brassicas can take a light frost and can be planted now.

I am between Providence and Fall River. Thank you for the Map! Looks like I am out of the frost warning. My plants appear to have hardened off and may be ready for transplanting. Thank you for the link!

Should I wait until the weekend or can I plant before the heavy rain that is going to occur over the next few days?

Plant your hardy crops as soon as you can - they need this cool weather to put on their most growth, they begin to flag when it gets warm. I always try to take advantage of rain in the forecast - much better than trying to water everything.
