heath hardiness in western mass

Hi folks,

I'm hoping to get advice about erica x darleyensis. I've seen these heaths labeled hardy to zone 4, and I've seen them listed as hardy to zone 7. To make matters more confusing, I'm not sure if I'm in zone 5 or zone 6, having recently moved and, of course, there is climate change to consider. We're a little west of the center of Massachusetts, immediately south of the Quabbin Reservoir.

Does anyone know this area or this plant well enough to advise me? I'm planting a not-too-steep slope, and I'm looking for relatively low plants that will thrive and spread. Bare survival would not help me, which is why I'm looking for better information about this plant. The yard slopes down northeast and gets sun all day from 3 directions. It does not get direct late afternoon sun from the west. Thanks!
