need name of unusual garden flower

I'm embarrassed because this is the third time I've forgotten/lost the name of this flower.

Someone who goes to Annie's swaps sold me gaucidium and another plant (not at a swap!) It began blooming in late April, (MA 5A) the flowers are small dangling maroon bells with a touch of yellow/chartreuse where the flower joins the flower stem. The flowers are completely hidden by the slightly hairy light green leaves, which may be palmate but I'm not sure right now.

Somehow I keep remembering scuttelaria (sp)but haven't had any luck matching it up.

I won't sleep well until I get the correct name!

Thanks,

Marie
