Snakes are okay. I like snakes because they eat those wiggley, slinky, creepy, crawly, thousand-legged bugs that give me goosebumps and make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It could be 98 degrees with high humidity but let one of those crawly things get near me and I have a chill of arctic proportions. Same with bees altho' not so much with honey bees.

I've slowly learned to be patient with what's growing in my garden and am grateful for the simple fact I don't have to be in charge. I just leave it to Ma Nature and help out as best I can for a good result. Not all outcomes are what I envisioned but they're often better. I refuse to let stress rule over my favorite pasttime or steal one iota of the pleasure & eye candy it gives me.

I guess I am a bit unlikely also as I am allergic to virtually everything that blooms and grows, including some molds. Who knows why I still love gardening and plants while almost the entire rest of my family (none of whom have allergies) like rocks as they are geologists.

I am a guy in my mid 20's who likes sports and beer (but good beer!). I'm probably not supposed to like gardening but I really do.

I'm the same way with bugs - hate 'em! I panic if I see a spider, get the willies when I see things with too many legs, jump up and do a dance if something is actually crawling on me, and as much as I love worms in my garden I won't pick one up!

I've only seen a snake once in my yard, and it was sleeping, so that wasn't too bad, except it has made me think twice about ever picking up a rock again.

I also hate being in the sun and I don't like the heat.

Other than that, I love gardening, lol!

If it weren't for gardening gloves I doubt I would ever garden as I can't stand the actual sensation of dirt drying on my hands.
