Is the NE Coastal forum asleep, or dead?

Since I live within 800 ft. of Buzzard's Bay, sometimes I need garden zone information and advice for coastal New England. But there are very few postings on the coastal NE forum in GardenWeb. So instead I ask and reply on the more general New England forum, which includes all inland areas such as New York state, upper mountainous Vermont, parts of New Jersey, the Canadian border of Maine, and Connecticut all the way to the Hudson River. These areas aren't always relevant in terms of freeze line, plant survival, soil types etc. (let alone the accents of the residents!)

Does anyone here read and post on NE Coastal?

I did not know there WAS such a forum..I'm not exactly coastal... but south coast of MA (02764)

When the NE Coast forum first debuted, I did make a post or two. But then I got to thinking. One, I don't know if I'm technically on the coast - I'm more like on LI sound, lol. Secondly, how "on the coast" is coastal? Is ten to fifteen miles inland still considered coastal, and would my conditions count as coastal conditions? I wasn't sure, so I kind of drifted away.

Too bad the forum is so slow. I hate when there seems to be a great forum in idea, at least, and in practice it isn't. I went through that with the Going Green forum. I was so excited when it debuted, and then found that it's slow as molasses going uphill in January! Disappointing!

I paid attention to the NE Coastal forum when it started up since I really am on the coast and I thought it might be more relevant for me than the New England forum which covers a much wider territory.

At first the forum seemed to be mostly Long Island folk, then it just kind of drifted away and I forgot about it.

I didn't even realize there was a NE Costal forum. We must be quite close Carol. I'm in Plymouth....
