For the virtual bird watchers here, the New York State Bridge Authority has nesting boxes on the big bridges across the Hudson. The Poughkeepsie bridge has a pair of resident peregrine falcons who are currently raising two chicks. The Bridge Authority has a video of the chicks being fed on YouTube. There is also a quasi-live webcam of the nesting box.

That video is fascinating - you get used to seeing hatchlings being fed one worm or bug at a time, but here the falcon carefully cut up whatever it was and fed the babies little pieces over a ten minute period.

That seems like an awfully big nest for two very small birds.
