I'm in zone 6 (Cambridge MA) and the coneflowers and trumpetvine are all leafing out. Be patient, you zone-fiver!

All of my coneflowers are up in Z4 NH...about 6-7inches.
Were yours in an area of good drainage?
We had a lot of rain last fall in the Northeast and a rainy start this spring.

I love, love, love coneflowers but can never get them to grow. I guess I should give it another try....

I'm not sure about good drainage.
I think it may not get enough water.

It's under the eaves of a small barn
and water comes down in front of it but not directly on the plant.

I will take pictures if it doesn't do well in a few weeks.
