Can I put the dahlia bulbs in now?

I found a bag of mixed dahlia tubers and the box store -- various colors in the paperboard photos, some nice looking roots and a bit of greened sprouts. Bag still has moisture ;)

Should can leave them inside (cellar? Kitchen) for a while, or put them in now?

I'd pot them up and keep in a sunny window for a while. Then plant them in the garden in early June.

Thanks. I will be gone for a few days, but they should be okay. Maybe I can put some baggy partial over them?

My potted dahlia wintered in my cool dark basement, I watered it once a month. 2 weeks back I left the pot outside in the sun, still no sign on life, any hope? Thanks
