Thanks for sharing the info. This is something that I hadn't heard about and now plan to do some reading up on to see what other weeds it might work on since I don't think I have black swallow-wort. I'd be happy if it worked on sorrel, cow vetch, and poison ivy!

Looks very interesting, thanks for the lead on this product. It's getting a little late in the season to be worrying about killing dandelions, but maybe I'll give it a try.

People say it does well on dandelions, but I don't have many, and they're the least of my worries, so I can't tell you there. It's doing well for me on narrowleaf plantain (in high enough doses, anyway), and some creeping stuff that I think is yellow hawkweed. It doesn't seem to do a thing to creeping charlie.

I suppose I should also say that I live in the city, with a relatively small yard, so I have the luxury of spot-spraying problem areas, so the specific weeds get a lot of my attention. I don't know how it might do in a more general spraying sort of situation.

I'm happy that it's doing well on these more pedestrian lawn weeds, but the black swallow wort is by far the nastiest of the lot, and I really want it gone.

Also, I got the stuff mail-order from Gardens Alive!, but if anyone knows where to find it locally, I wouldn't mind getting my next batch of the stuff from a brick-and-mortar store.

One of the articles I read said that for 2010 Scotts had a license on this stuff, so you could call and ask at any of the stores that carry Scotts lawn & garden stuff. It's marketed as Ortho EcoSense Lawn Weed Killer.
