1.) Looks like a sunflower to me.
2.) Never have grown them but i'd guess verbascum?
3.) Nice score on the poppies!

I think you're both right about the first plant being a sunflower. The second one is a verbascum, though I don't know what kind. The garden looks great!

#2 looks like digitalis/foxglove to me. If so, it is a prolifically self-sowing biennial. And it grows well in partial shade.

And your poppies look beautiful. I have quite a few buds, but nothing open yet.

Thanks everyone for your help. The verbascum was one of the dollar perennials at Verab Greenhouses in Bethany last year.

I'm going to have to get one of those at Verab this year (when is their sale? I've heard about it, never made it there!) That is absolutely gorgeous...!

ctlady - The garden verbascums come in a variety of pastel shades: the white or cream, soft yellow, and a salmony pink. Some have different colored centers and some don't. The will seed around some if you let them. Mine weren't in an ideal spot and I found them to be somewhat short-lived perennials. I don't know if they do better in a better spot.

Richie! I brought tons of red /orange poppies to the swap about 2 years ago and yes they do spread nicely! Miss you /Abi and Gary

The Verbascum is 'Southern Comfort' and one of my favorites.
