THAT SOOOO Rocks!! on MANY levels!

I'm so glad you checked them out and gave a "shout out." We both have (now adult) children with disabilities, and Pam (Leo's wife) always greets our Claire very warmly when we make our visits. So I have a special place in my heart for Blanchette's, aside from wonderful plants and a family run business.

I wish they had more people power to keep their website updated. I spent some big bucks at Lazy S for plants I saw on Blanchette's website today for less (and I know will be twice as big) I can deal with it.

Keep passing the word. They deserve the business on the basis of price, quality and the social benefits of small business.

Unfortunately, I didn't get there until after 3:00 (they closed at 4:00) so I only had about a half hour to look around their large nursery. I only picked up a Maianthemum canadense (Canada Mayflower or False Lily of the Valley). What I plan to do is go on their website and "preshop" and make another trip over there. I just bought two Jack in the Pulpits and wish I had gone to Blanchettes first. Also, I would have gotten my Epimediums there based on size and price.

You are so right about the people. I didn't ask their names but from your description, Pam was the woman I spoke with (she mentioned her adult child with disabilities) and I think the gentleman may have been Leo. They were so wonderful and I couldn't get over how they gave so much so quickly. I was tripping over my tongue saying "Thank you". I'm so glad you mentioned them on another post!

Just to add my comments, I always find interesting plants there and second every positive thing said about their fine qualities as people. It is a destination nursery.
