I love this flagstone bench

I would really like to have one of these and am wondering if I could get these supplies at HD or if I need to go to a landscape company where they sell different stones. Also, do you know if this is easy to do, as it looks, and if it's very expensive? I have no idea what to expect for price. Have any of you done anything like this before?

The large piece of stone is probably pretty pricey. But the smaller pieces are probably pretty inexpensive. For pieces that size you can just go hand pick them at any landscape supply/stone yard. I don't think HD will have what you need. By the way, it is really beautiful!

Thanks so much, WG! I guess I'll have to go to a stone yard and see what they say.

If you're near Littleton, MA try the Stoneyard. Bring a photo to show them what your looking for.

What a great idea! I think it looks especially good because it's made from the same material as the path; it might not be quite as appealing next to, say, a formal brick path, though it would still look nice.

It will probably look even better after a decade or so, when there's some moss on the stones and the rough edges are a little weathered. I want one too!
