| Anyone here have experience growing vegetables in an oceanfront house's yard? A friend down the street put in a veg. garden (flowers are OK there) and they all look pathetic. She says, constantly windy. Maybe so; my own happy veg garden is about 500 ft. from the ocean, across a briny pond, with more border trees.
What can she do to make her veg garden thrive? What kinds of windbreaks would work without cutting off the sunlight? Carol |

| Sounds like just the place for a hedge of rugosa roses. What about a small picket fence? |
