I saw a pallet of Livin' Easy roses today and beyond the interesting coloration, the fragrance made me buy it. Had remembered reading your post and thought "Oh, there's that rose a lady on Gardenweb wrote about". Well, I went to the nursery for Heuchera Lemon Chiffon, which I discovered they did not grow this year, and came home with Deutzia Chardonnay Pearls and this rose. Not even close! Would like to keep it near my deck because of the fragrance. It is a beauty! Good luck with yours, leslie6ri.

Thanks for the links. Isn't it lovely! We had absolutely no intention of buying a rose that day either, but we just stood and stared at it when we came across it. Maybe the cloudy, grey skies helped too, but it was so incredibly bright and cheerful. I know that roses are often said to be disease-free but what's disease-free in Wisconsin may not be in Rhode Island. This one looks promising, though. I really don't want to have to fuss over it and spray it constantly, so here's hoping... I noticed the fragrance too. I saw it described as slightly fragrant but it seems much stronger than that to me. Glad to read that you agree. The woman at the nursery said something about 'planting the bud union two inches below the ground and not at the same depth as it is in the pot'. So I'm off to check online about that. I hope you enjoy your 'Livin' Easy' too! (How could we not?!)
