Carol, so glad to hear of your success! My Frostproof is fine, and showing new growth, although no blooms yet. But it has never bloomed this early anyway, so I'm sure it will perform well later. I can't wait for it to get a few feet tall so I won't have to get down there to smell it!

Congratulations, Carol and give us an update once in while. I haven't found 'Frostproof' locally so I bought regular gardenias for pots and will just keep them as houseplants in the winter, if I can keep them alive...lol.

pixie lou, I take terrible photos, so I didn't bother trying, with the gardenia. Too bad I can't take a fragrance photo for you - heavenly fragrance! And it's blooming at the same time as my huge philadelphus coronarius (mock orange blossom). You could swoon from the nose duet.
