Open Days S. Dartmouth July 17

Hi there! Anybody still here from the old days? I dropped off the forum about a year ago to get my MA in Ed. I completed it this June and now - finally - have time to obsess again about my poor garden... I have missed it!

At any rate, I noticed that there is a Garden Conserv Open Days in South and North Dartmouth this Sat. Does anyone know anything about these gardens? Are there any that shouldn't be missed?

Anyone interested? It's not free ($5 per person per garden), and it will be a hot day. The list of gardens to visit is on the gardenconservancy.org website, and here is the FAQ link:

Wish I could go! It's a beautiful area, and close enough to both Haskell's and Avant Gardens to fit in a little shopping detour.

One of the gardens is listed as being Nan Stinton's, but I assume it's one she designed, not her own place.

Since I'm going to be visiting an old high school chum this weekend in
SE Massachusetts, I, too, thought I'd hit the garden tour in Darmouth, , ,
but with 7 gardens in just six hours, plus travel-time between each, it's
always helpful to know in advance if there are any "must see" gardens.

Look for the tall old gent with a "GW" on his left sleeve, and say "hello". . .
if you catch me outside a garden, I can share some of my half-price
members tickets with you !

didn't mean to ignore your offer. Maybe we can meet there. I just don't want to drive down alone, and mayalena and I have done a couple of garden tours together.

OK, Who went? How was it? It was awfully hot, but that didn't stop me from chipping brush for several hours. I wish I'd gone garden-hopping instead.

Marie! How are you? I am so sorry -- we have houseguests, dinner guests, etc., so I ended up not being able to go...and not having time to even check this message board til now.
