It seems more likely that what you are seeing is leaf scorch as a result of the resent transplant. I am always amazed at the different lengths of time it takes a tree, shrub, or plant to say ouch after being kicked. The good news is with a little tlc your viburnum should bounce back.

I agree with runktrun, this is probably a reaction to being transplanted, different soil composition adjustment, etc. How long ago did you plant that huge viburnum? Also, where did you get such a giant specimen?

I too have a sick Am. Cranberry viburnum but havent found a clue as to what happened. Last year, about 5 years old, beautiful 5 ft tall and wide, covered with flowers, and then berries. Last year we had a drought, then this year rain and more rain. It has buds and leaves but almost all the leaves are very tiny and not growing. Any ideas for me? Perhaps the weather affecting it, but, I have a Chiquita Viburnum near it, looking so beautiful and healthy. It is of the same genus. I also have an Onandaga, also looking good. What to do? I dont see any bugs or mildew.
