I also like the grass you wanted to braid. Is it a special type of grass or just blue grass that's not been mowed? I've got an area where something like that would be such fun.

Thanks for the tour I have never visited before, I love the mulching leaf wall, sticks encircling the ferns, and floating gardens what a brilliant ideas. The two long legged adorable girls looked very much at home in the garden. kt

Amazing how he created sculpture and rhythm out of something as mundane as composting leaves--I'd never have thought something like that could be attractive, but it really was.

Will the installations still be around next week? I have a friend visitng from TX and would love to take her there.

Glad you like the photos. The installation will be up until Oct 31st. We didn't make it all the way to the end as one of my DDs needed the loo.... I highly recommend a visit, but be sure to use bug spray first! I believe they offer informal guided tours at 10am on weekdays and 2pm on weekends. The artist has a website: www.wgarysmithdesign.com. I think of this post often and my goal for this fall is to create a fence/wall that will hold on to my oak leaves in the same artistic way as the one at Garden In The Woods. Thanks for sharing. kt
