I found a Tile-horned beetle in my daughters water table, directly under our maple trees late last week. I called my tree guy, who came over right away and confirmed that it was not ALB. He gave me an ALB identification card.

We live right near the Mass Pike, just west of 128. When I heard about the infestation in Boston, I figured the beetles would have traveled the Pike to get into town. I was nervous they could have gotten caught in rush hour traffic, and decided to move into my back yard!

Good on you, pixie lou, for being alert and reporting the beetle! (I'm having visions of a beetle with an EZ Pass....)
