I have NEVER seen this many...

maybe it was the mild winter; maybe the heat wave?

my rose plants are being ravaged by Japanese Beetles. They are eating not only my roses, also my lilacs, my lemon balm, my hibiscus...etc...

I pick them off at least twice daily but its so defeating when you think you are making headway only to turn around and see 18 of then munching away on a rose.

I'm convinced that they are of the devil! :(

(just venting, sorry)

Well, they certainly have found my roses, too! I've never have a problem with them, but it's been a very bad infestation this year.

I don't have Japanese beetles, but have gazillions of other types of beetles! Mostly these small black beetles that are crawling around everywhere, including my garage. Also some large black beetles, as well as a few Oriental beetles.

Maybe it's a great beetle year!!
