Tiny holes in all (600) hostas???

What is this? I've got tiny holes in every single variety of hosta (about 30 varieties)--at first I thought it was slugs, but now.... Some of them are the 'brown'thatched --not totally holes, yet, but most of them are holes.
This has happened suddenly--in the space of about 10 days--on all different sides of the house--so it doesn't look like something has spread from one infected plant.
Of course, we've had gobs and gobs of rain and cooler than usual temps, but...
Any ideas?

OK-thinking back--about a week to 10 days ago I did a major spray of SNG on ALL my plants-- Could THAT have caused burning on the hosta leaves?

Are you sure you didn't have a hail storm?
