I have 3 Hopi, one Red Rocket, and one Acoma. The Red Rocket and Acoma basically never bloom but they still look good as shrubs. However, the Hopi usually show a few blooms each year although not like they would down South. This year all of them are showing fantastic growth but no blooms. Crape Myrtles like it dry which we haven't had this year. I think this is part of the problem but I'm interested in hearing about other people's experiences. Thanks.

Mine don't usually bloom this early, so I'm not surprised that I have no buds yet. I don't have the names handy, but have one old white and one new (2 years) lurid red.

Too early. In my neck of the woods definitely not before the 20's of September. Few days ago on a way back home from JFK saw hundreds of them planted in open along highway. They were already in buds.

I have 'Tonto' and it hasn't bloomed yet.

I have a "Muskogee Crape". It has grown fantastically this season--4 feet of new growth, but no blooms yet.
