I planted my fall planting of peas yesterday. I can't imagine how you could inhale a pea. Those seeds are BIG!

I also did my fall lettuce planting. I could see inhaling one of those seeds without noticing.

Actually, this sounds familiar. I think I read something similar a few months back. Didn't know this was such a widespread problem, lol!

No, it is true. They had his name, photo, name of surgeon, hospital etc. The doctor said it is fairly common for people to get something stuck in their lung, usually swallowed. So common that he was surprised this had become such a big news story. I think it is the germination and growth part that is so...what shall I say...compelling. And the ick factor.

The Globe article said last year some man in Germany had some other plant--forget what--germinate in his lung and it was five centimeters before removal. Too lazy to go look it up.

I think the man in Germany had a tiny fig tree in his lung (I saw the article also). I just had a vision of a pokeberry growing in my lungs - they grow every where else here, so why not.
