Orchid growers

I was wondering if anyone knows of any orchid growers in the southeast NE area. I live in Providence. Google hasn't really yielded any useful names. Some that show up have closed down, and A&P is a waste of time (trust me!). Anyone know of any others? Maybe in CT or MA?

The Cape and Islands Orchid Society gives a show every year on Cape Cod.

While I was looking for the website, I ran into this site, the Orchid Mall which lists an incredible number of orchid societies all over the world.

I know nothing about any of these.

I just realized you want to find orchid growers. Like Molie says, these societies should be able to help you.

My dentist is an orchid enthusiast, and I think he buys plants at an exchange or market somewhere in Boston.

The Cape and Islands Orchid Society website says:

"The October Meeting will be held on, Sunday, October 18th.
This meeting will be the Annual Orchid Auction.
Monies from this auction help us put on the January Show, so save the date & bring your dollars!
Great Orchids are available for excellent auction prices.
(There is always room for a few more!)

Administration Building of the Barnstable County Fairgrounds Rt 151 in Falmouth, MA"

Maybe worth a visit to the Cape.
