Does anyone know of a morning glory that has some variegation in the leaves, as well as some of the leaves taking on a sort of three-lobed shape (reminiscent of sweet potato vine or similar)? I saw these on many fences when I was in Capri, Italy, but have not seen them online or in any seed catalogs. The flowers are purplish blue and about the size of the familiar "Heavenly Blue".

Sounds lovely - I googled variegated morning glory and found some, mainly Japanese, but not quite as you described; not blue and/or not tall. Maybe the vine forum?

DTD, that's a good suggestion. I think I'll post it there. Thanks.

I tried a lot of morning glory from seed a few years ago and I did have one that had variegated leaves. Wish I could remember the name of it. I know there are a few people on the winter sowing forum who collect morning glory seed and I'll bet you would get a response to your question there.
