When do I get my beds ready for winter? I have spireas that I forgot to prune back last winter and had to do them in the spring because of their size and they mishapped with the heaviness of the winter snow. They have come back especially my Shibana(sp). The other two, not so much but are in good shape just small. I put in a sky pencil a month ago and a holly, do these need any pruning back? I also have two inkberry hollies that are about 2 1/2 feet, 3 feet high and about 2/3 feet wide, I am assuming I leave these alone? It's cold outside tonight, had to put on a jacket myself and the weather at night is hitting the 40's and lower the past two days. I also have a row of coleus which I am just going to watch and see what they do before I clean up the bed. Any suggestions?
