Hi Carol & Froofy - The same thing happened a few years ago, after Bob and the no-name storm that followed it. The azaleas and some other shrubs were very confused, and some of them bloomed that fall.

I was worried, but it really had no long term effects on the plants, as far as I could see. The next spring might have been a little less colorful than normal, but it wasn't really bad at all.

Some plants may leaf out again, but you just have to trust that they know what they're doing. The old ones have seen all this before and they do what they need to to survive.

There's really nothing we can do about it, in any case.
