Last Friday I visited Uncanoonuc Mt Perennials in Goffstown, NH, on their last weekend open for this season. They have nice display gardens, and I always come home with something, this visit a couple of asters, a Baptisia, a heather, a tall Aconitum/monkshood, and a Hosta 'June' (thanks for the recommendation, Steve). I appreciate seeing so many of their plants growing out of pots in holding beds and in the various display gardens.

View from the parking area over holding beds and the sales area.

A path winds through the part of the display gardens which combines woody plants and a wide range of attractive groundcovers.

Other areas have wide mixed beds that can be viewed from the grass.

There's a water feature, currently decorated with a scattering of dinosaurs.

The rose garden is more formal and includes a range of plants that complement the roses: lavender, alyssum, small evergreens, and clematis.

A shaded picnic area overlooks many of the garden areas.

There are also shade gardens, but the sun wasn't at the right angle to take photos there.
