ALthough the subject sounds like a runktrun posting, this is actually the title of an upcoming PBS special.

I loved the book - and hope to get a chance to see the PBS show. (And, yes, I agree, it does sound like another great Kt thread!)

Just a reminder that this is on - tonight!

we watched it...and it made me want to grow some of those unusual varieties of Peruvian potatoes in my own garden!

Down with monocultures! :-)

Didn't watch the potatoes yet, but I got inspired to go plant some tulips.

Only saw half so far, but I thought it was well done and interesting.

Did anyone watch the First Flower (fossil) show afterwards? I had seen that before, it was a repeat. I watched some of it again. Always fun to see Dan Hinkley oogling a rare lady slipper in China.

was that cool or what??!! imagine just pulling over by the side of the road and recognizing and then rattling off SCORES of plant genera, all in one tiny spot!! just amazing.
best,
mindy

Um, is it one show repeated for several nights, or 4 different shows (the book was 4 chapters).

I only tivo'ed one show, and I'm out of town, so I'd like to know if I need to call my DH to record more ... wouldn't want to miss the episode about apples - the "true history" about Johnny Appleseed was a great story.

Thanks - DtD
