Kind of new to gardening and thinking about different furtilizers. Wondering if anyone has experience with bat guano. I have read about it online and it seems to get great reviews. Any plants it doesn't work well with?

RE: Bat Guano

Hi! I was hoping that someone with experience using bat guano would answer your question, but the forum is quiet at this time of year. I don't use bat guano because I have extensive gardens and it is expensive. If you have done reading on this you may know more about bat guano than I do. As I did a quick search online, it becomes apparent that you have to use carefully according to directions because this seems to be powerful.

To give you a general direction on plants, you would be looking to use this on plants that are "heavy feeders", considering whether or how often to use this on "light feeders" and carefully avoiding adding any fertilizer to plants that like poor soil. I don't know if this helps. I wanted to welcome you to this forum and to having fun with gardening.

Here is a link that might be useful: more info on bat guano
