Discovered them tonight growing under a rose of sharon near my raised bed. Over 10 years ago there was big oak around there. Looks like matsutake i think but browner. Has that distinctove veil. Cap has some bumps, grainy like. Will take pic outside later too.

Doesnt have an overwhelming or very spicy or stinky smell, sort of sweet actually. No bitter taste either , if anything tastes nice and semisweet, reminds me of oyster mushroom (took tiny nibble, chewed, spat).
