Hmmmm - I always thought the turtles went into the ponds for the winter. They don't exactly hibernate, but remain active below the ice. So wondering why turtles are headed to the meadow.

Maybe it's a boggy meadow? With a stream or pond in it?

No hard freezes and lots of rain. The weather bodes well for my Fall plantings at my parent's place.
