Anyone going to Mahoney's tomorrow night?

| Hi,
Is anyone (Mindy?) going to "Ladies Night Out" at the Mahoney's in Winchester tomorrow night? It's a promotion for the store (20% off holiday decorations) but there is suppossed to be wine tasting and food sampling from area restaurants. I'll be the one in the tan and brown plaid coat with a small swan pin in my lapel. I'm going to TRY to just look. I've posted the link below in case anyone is interested.

| I'm going with a friend too! Did a preview this weekend. Things to look for (if still around): clearance prices on orchids that have finished blooming (my friend gets hers to rebloom all the time), $4 begonias (beautiful!), and $4 2.5" mini poinsettas. See you there! |

| I only spent $2.50! There a very pretty rosy/orange begonia marked down from $6.98 to $2.50 that I couldn't pass up. I almost a hybiscus bush marked down from $24.98 to $7.50 but convinced myself I really didn't need it (and I don't). I'm not sure what I expected, more emphasis on plants I guess (the only ones of interest to me were the sparkly pointsettas). Also, I was disappointed in the food sampling - I only saw two vendors with samples and the one with the long line asking for a $2.00 contribution when you got to the end of the line (money was for charity). Everyone got one ticket when they arrived good for one glass of wine (that's wine tasting???). I didn't get a ticket when I walked in and asked for a bottle of water and was told I had to go back to the entrance and get a ticket. I think I didn't get a ticket because I walked in with the Florida Siebolaii to return. Paul was questioning why I wanted to return it and even asked me if I had researched it before I bought it. When I mentioned the GW thread I posted and Mindy's response, no problem with the return. I didn't intend on rambling on so...guess I just needed to vent my overall disappointment. |

| Yes, the food sampling was disappointing. I only got some gazpacho because by the time I got there, only 1 vendor had any food available. I didn't even go to the live plants area! Sounds like I should have; that begonia is a steal! |
