I believe a frequent poster here used to go to Olivers in (I think) Westport quite a bit. Not sure what they have shrub-wise, as I'm not familiar with them, but perhaps you can look into them.

There is also Twombleys in Monroe. They seem to have a really good reputation, but I live around the corner from them and find them to be quite expensive. Maybe others can comment on both my... suggestions. I don't want to call them recommendations, exactly, but suggestions...!

Yes, Olivers - I was trying to remember the name of the nursery that George used to recommend, so thanks, Dee.

We have a FAQ on garden centers of New England, not sure how recent it is though. There was also a thread a few years ago about nurseries along I-95, but I don't think we ever compiled a list.

This reminds me how much I miss George (EGO) and Katie (runktrun) on this forum!
