Tower Hill good to visit in winter

We've been members of Tower Hill Botanic garden in Boylston for a year or so now, and try to get there every couple of months. We went this Saturday and checked out their new Limonia greenhouse and the winter garden between the Limonia and Orangerie. It was a sparkling winter day and we wandered around the outdoor gardens. I have to hand it to their designers, the place is just gorgeous 12 months of the year. Between berry-laden bushes, trees with interesting bark, evergreens, and other landscape elements it was stunning. Inside there were lots of Christmas trees and wreaths decorated with very clever ornaments made with natural materials. The only downside was that their cafe was hopelessly short staffed with a long wait, so we didn't do lunch.

If you are within reasonable distance of this place it's well worth a visit.
