This is truly great news--thanks for letting us know. We are desperately lacking in a good nursery north of Boston, with the exception of Mahoney's in Winchester which could never match Weston's as Weston's used to be.

I used to make a few trips a season to Weston's but it was just too far and haven't been for years. I hope they have a good selection of shrubs, our most dire need. We do have some good perennial nurseries--Lake Street, Newbury.

It's odd that they didn't go a few more miles into glorious tax-free NH tho....

I am curious just where they are moving to. I wonder if they are taking over someone else's business. THere is a Mahoneys in Chelmsford. And a couple of others I can think of. I am not so sure its the greatest location for Weston North, market-wise. Are there enough of us to support them? I don't think Mahoneys has done so well in CHelmsford since taking over Laughtons, but I'm just guessing. Laughtons had tons of acreage in a fairly large nursery operation which would be great for Westons to have too I would imagine.

I'm happy about that too. I try to go to Weston's at least once a year, but it is a trek. I rarely get out to Chelmsford for some reason, but it is a lot closer. Thanks for the news.
