The carpet roses I planted 2 years ago are getting leggy - any wisdom on how they tolerate pruning? Is this a spring time task?

RE: Pruning Carpet Roses

The respond beautifully to heavy pruning, and this ought to be done a couple of times a year to keep them nice and shrubby and productive. I would probably do it just before the expected flush of growth in the spring, so that you don't have bare sticks sticking out of the ground very long.
