Has anyone successfully divided Yucca plants? Any tips?

RE: Yucca Dividing

I see no one has responded to your question. I am not a yucca expert but I know a few things about wild yucca. It grows in arid areas. Its propogated by a particular kind of moth. There is no way you can "divide" it. It has a single taproot. As a teen, I got a few chuckles watching East coast folks try to dig one out. The taproots are easily ten plus feet.

If the hibrydised (sp? I am NOT getting out the dictionary) version is similar, you cannot divide it. It must be propogated.
