Hello there, I hope someone can advise me if the following plant types are suitable to grow in Singapore (likely kept indoor with indirect sunlight).
The plants are mainly of mexico's origin:
- Echeveria deresina
- Orostachys japonicus A. Berger
- Tacitus bellus Moran & J. Meyrán
- Anacampseros rufescens (Harv.) Sweet
- Pachyphytum compactum Rose
- Sedum rubroinctum
- Sedum adolphii Raym.-Hamet
- Kalanhoe series
Singapore's weather is characterised by uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity and abundant rainfall.
The average room termperature in Singapore is 25-31 degree celsius. The afternoon tends to be hotter and the morning/night tends to be cooler. As for relative humidity, the diurnal range is around 90% in the morning to around 60% in the mid afternoon. Mean value is 84%. During prolonged period of heavy rain, relative humidity often reaches 100%.
As for pressure: Diurnal pressure variation of 4hPa. Maxium pressure usually occuring at 1100 and 2400 Local Time and minimum pressure occuring at 0500 and 1700 Local Time.
Any advice will be hugely appreciated.
Thank you.

| hi David, What a nice surprise to see a post from Singapore here. I'm a newbie gardener myself and have never tried doing any gardening in Singapore when I was there, but I know my mum had much success with orchids. |

Don't know about most of the plants you listed, but sedum & kalanchoe should do well as long as the drainage is good. Best luck! & have fun! |
